Peptide and Longevity Treatment Safety Information
Solaya MD | Last Updated: June 1, 2026
Important: Prescription treatment is not guaranteed. Peptide therapies, injectable wellness treatments, and other longevity-focused care are offered only when a licensed healthcare provider through Bask Health determines they are clinically appropriate after reviewing your medical history, assessment responses, and other relevant information.
1. Overview
This safety page summarizes important risks and considerations for peptide therapies, injectable wellness treatments, and longevity-focused prescription care that may be discussed or prescribed through Solaya MD. Clinical services are provided by independent U.S.-licensed healthcare providers through Bask Health. Solaya MD does not provide medical care, diagnose conditions, prescribe medications, or manufacture medications.
This page is not a complete list of possible risks, contraindications, side effects, interactions, or instructions. Always review the treatment information provided by your pharmacy and follow your Bask Health provider's instructions.
2. Compounded Medication Notice
Some treatments offered through partner pharmacies may be compounded when legally permitted and clinically appropriate.
Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and are not evaluated by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality before they are marketed.
Compounded medications do not have FDA-approved indications in the same way FDA-approved branded products do.
Your medication's appearance, concentration, inactive ingredients, delivery format, packaging, or instructions may vary by pharmacy and prescription.
3. Emergency Warning
If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or seek emergency medical care immediately.
4. Before Starting Treatment
To help your Bask Health provider evaluate whether treatment may be appropriate, disclose your full medical history. Withholding or providing inaccurate health information may result in serious harm.
Any known allergies, medication sensitivities, or prior reactions to prescription therapies or injectable products
Heart, blood pressure, liver, kidney, endocrine, gastrointestinal, immune, or neurological conditions
History of fainting, dehydration, severe headaches, dizziness, or unusual reactions to supplements, injections, or medications
Pregnancy, plans to become pregnant, breastfeeding, or plans to breastfeed
All prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, herbal products, peptides, hormones, or supplements you use
5. Who Should Use Extra Caution
Anyone with a known serious allergy or hypersensitivity to any ingredient in the prescribed medication.
Anyone with a history of significant adverse reactions to injectable or compounded treatments.
Anyone who is pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy should discuss risks and timing with a qualified healthcare provider before starting or continuing treatment.
Anyone who has been advised by a healthcare provider not to use peptide therapy, compounded medication, or injectable wellness treatment.
6. Medication Interactions and Combination Use
Do not combine prescription peptide therapies, injectable treatments, hormones, or longevity-focused medications unless specifically directed by your provider.
Using multiple therapies at the same time may increase the risk of side effects, dosing errors, or drug interactions.
Some treatments may affect hydration status, appetite, energy, sleep, blood pressure, or how other medications are tolerated.
Ask your provider about possible interactions with prescription drugs, supplements, hormones, vitamins, or other wellness therapies before starting treatment.
7. Common Side Effects
Common side effects may be more noticeable when starting treatment, changing dose, or switching pharmacies or formulations. They may include:
Nausea
Mild stomach upset
Headache
Fatigue
Dizziness
Flushing or warmth
Sleep changes
Appetite changes
Muscle soreness
Injection-site redness, swelling, itching, or discomfort
Contact your provider if symptoms are severe, persistent, worsening, or concerning.
8. Serious Side Effects to Watch For
Potential Risk
Symptoms to Monitor
Allergic reaction
Rash, swelling of the face/lips/tongue/throat, severe dizziness, trouble breathing, or trouble swallowing.
Infection or injection-site complication
Increasing redness, heat, drainage, swelling, or pain at the injection site, or fever after treatment.
Severe dehydration or intolerance
Persistent vomiting, diarrhea, inability to keep fluids down, unusual weakness, dry mouth, or reduced urination.
Cardiovascular symptoms
Chest pain, fainting, unusual shortness of breath, or a racing heartbeat that feels abnormal or concerning.
Neurologic or mental health changes

9. Administration and Safe Use
Use medication exactly as prescribed by your Bask Health provider.
Do not change your dose, dosing schedule, route of administration, or stop treatment without discussing it with your provider.
If your medication is injectable, use only sterile supplies and follow pharmacy instructions exactly.
Rotate injection sites when directed. Do not use irritated, bruised, or infected skin.
Never share a vial, pen, needle, or syringe. Sharing injection supplies can spread infection.
Use a new sterile needle and syringe when instructed and dispose of sharps in an appropriate sharps container.
Read all instructions from your pharmacy before using your medication.
If you believe you took too much medication, contact your provider, seek medical advice promptly, or contact Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222.
10. Pregnancy, Fertility, and Breastfeeding
Tell your provider if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to breastfeed.
The safety profile of peptide therapies and longevity-focused treatments can vary. Some treatments may not be appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless specifically recommended by a qualified healthcare provider.
Patients who may become pregnant should discuss contraception, treatment timing, and whether any therapy should be paused before a planned pregnancy.
11. Storage, Handling, and Follow-Up
Store medication exactly as instructed by your pharmacy, since storage requirements may vary by formulation.
Do not use medication that appears contaminated, damaged, expired, or stored outside the recommended conditions.
Keep treatments, sharps, and supplies out of reach of children and pets.
Follow up promptly with your provider if you experience side effects, have dosing questions, or notice changes in your health while on treatment.
12. Reporting Side Effects
Contact your Bask Health provider or pharmacist for medical advice about side effects.
You may report side effects to the FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088 or through FDA MedWatch at www.fda.gov/medwatch.
For emergencies, call 911 or seek immediate medical care.
